Biography
Cortney M. Eakin, M.D., is Health Science Assistant Clinical Professor in the OB/GYN Hospitalist Division in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Irvine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Creighton University School of Medicine Phoenix, followed by a fellowship in Global Women's Health at the same institution. Dr. Eakin then completed an NCI T32 Postdoctoral Research fellowship in Patient-Centered Outcomes in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is also a fellow of the Integrative and Functional Medicine Fellowship at the UC Irvine Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute.
At UC Irvine, she currently serves as Director of Obstetrics and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her research focuses on patient-centered outcomes in gynecologic oncology, cancer survivorship strategies and disparities in cancer outcomes.
