Biography
Casey Schreiber, D.O., is Medical Director of Pediatrics at the UCI FQHC Anaheim and Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UC Irvine School of Medicine. Schreiber received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and completed pediatric residency at the University of California, Irvine-Children's Hospital of Orange County, earning distinction in primary care. Schreiber's clinical work focuses on primary care pediatrics, with particular attention to serving underserved populations through federally qualified health centers.
Schreiber serves as Secretary of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Orange County Chapter Board of Directors and previously served as Chair of the AAP-OC Young Physicians Committee. Schreiber is a member of the HHS-Western Regional Alliance for Pediatric Emergency Management, participating in efforts to improve pediatric disaster response capabilities. At UC Irvine School of Medicine, Schreiber serves on the Pediatrics Clerkship Committee, working to enhance the third-year medical student experience across multiple clinical sites.
Schreiber has contributed to research on health disparities in pediatric populations as a Service, Teaching, Advocacy and Research (STAR) Scholar and has co-authored publications on HIV drug supply issues in Latin America and SARS-CoV-2 acquisition among school-aged children. Schreiber has provided medical care to underserved communities through volunteer work at migrant shelters, free clinics in Pomona and Baja California, and health campaigns in rural Peru. Schreiber received the AAP-OC Young Physician of the Year award in 2024.
