Igor Soloviev
Biography
Igor Soloviev is a Specialist in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of California, Irvine, where he has served since 2010. He earned his Physicist diploma with honor from St. Petersburg State University in 1993. Soloviev has worked at CERN since 1996, initially on leave from the Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute (PNPI), where he was employed as a Research Scientist from 1993 to 2010.
Soloviev has held several coordinator roles within the ATLAS experiment at CERN. He served as co-coordinator of the ATLAS Data Acquisition Control and Configuration group from 2006 to 2015, coordinator of the ATLAS Trigger-DAQ Configuration group until 2006, and has been ATLAS Online Database Coordinator since 2015. In 2023, he became coordinator of the Control and Configuration group.
Soloviev's technical contributions to the ATLAS Data Acquisition system include the design, development, and maintenance of the object-oriented persistent object manager (OKS) and ATLAS online configuration database services, the online operational monitoring data archiving service (P-BEAST) with visualization tools using Grafana, and software packages for ATLAS online operations including Run Number and Resource Archival and Access Manager services. His work encompasses databases, monitoring systems, CORBA and web services, and graphical and web interfaces for the ATLAS experiment.
