Biography
Kristin Lewis (Drumheller), MD, MA, is a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of California, Irvine. She earned her Medical Doctorate from University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. Lewis completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago, where she served as Resident Director of Graduate Medical Education (GME) and completed the two-year GME Medical Education Scholar, Medical Education Research, Innovation, Teaching, and Scholarship (MERITS) Program. She then completed a fellowship in Multimedia Design Education Technology at UC Irvine.
Lewis is a Career Advisor for the UCI School of Medicine, advising 80-100 medical students annually. She also serves as the Medical Director of Anteater Emergency Medical Services (AEMS) at UC Irvine main campus. Her research focuses on medical education including curriculum development, assessment, and variability in medical student performance evaluations (MSPEs); family planning during training, and lactation support in emergency departments.
