Leticia C. Oliveros

Biography

Leticia C. Oliveros, M.D., is a Health Sciences Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. She received her M.D. from the University of Iowa and completed her internship, residency, and chief residency at UC Irvine. Oliveros has served as an attending physician at UCI Medical Center and UCI Family Health Center-Anaheim since 1996, and previously served as Medical Director of the Department of Pediatrics at FHC-Anaheim from 2007 to 2011.

Oliveros has received the Orange County Physician of Excellence Award fourteen times between 2010 and 2025. In 2025, she was recognized as Faculty Clinical Mentor of the Year by the UCI/CHOC Residency program and received the Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award from the same program. She has maintained continuous board certification with the American Board of Pediatrics since 1995.

Oliveros has been active in medical education throughout her career, serving as a physician preceptor for medical students, pediatric residents, and family medicine residents since 1996. She has participated in numerous community outreach activities, including health fairs, career day presentations, and panel discussions encouraging underrepresented minorities and women to pursue careers in medicine. She serves on the FQHC Quality/Process Improvement Committee and the Ambulatory Quality and Safety Oversight Hospital Committee, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Orange County Pediatric Society.
