Biography
Matthew Keating, M.D., is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine. He is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology. Keating received his Doctor of Medicine from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in 2014, completed his internal medicine residency at Eisenhower Medical Center, and completed his hematology oncology fellowship at Roger Williams Medical Center/Boston University in 2020.
Keating's clinical research has focused on treatment responses in various malignancies, including prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, and melanoma. His work has examined age-dependent outcomes in androgen deprivation therapy for metastatic prostate cancer and treatment responses in patients with Lynch syndrome-associated metastatic colon cancer. He has also contributed to research on drug-related adverse effects in oncology patients and rare presentations of hematologic malignancies.
Keating serves as a member of the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and participates in fellowship and faculty recruitment for the Division of Hematology/Oncology at UCI. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the Medical Oncology Association of Southern California.
