Mallory Bernstein, MSc, is a Specialist in Hematology/Oncology at the University of California, Irvine (UCI Health), where she manages laboratory operations and coordinates multi-site collaborative research projects with institutions including USC, DKFZ, and Cornell. She received her Master of Science with Award of Distinction in African Studies with Health from University College London in 2017 and her Bachelor of Science Magna Cum Laude with Departmental Honours in Chemistry from Muhlenberg College in 2014. Bernstein has over seven years of experience in quantitative research, biostatistics, and data science in clinical research settings, with particular focus on infectious diseases and oncology.

At UCI Health, she develops IRB protocols, manages laboratory procurement, supervises undergraduate and graduate students, works on method validation for MGUS detection using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry, and is involved in MGUS association studies with infectious diseases. She completed the Sub-Saharan African Network for TB/HIV Research Excellence Biostatistics course in 2022 and was a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in South Africa in 2015.
