Nina Yewell

Biography

Nina Yewell, B.A., is a Behavioral Specialist at The Craig School and a Junior Specialist at the Shuck Child Development Lab in Irvine, California. She earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from Chapman University in 2024. Yewell's work focuses on applied behavior analysis and pediatric neuropsychology, with particular emphasis on children with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD.

Yewell has contributed to research examining the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on pediatric mental health and development, which resulted in a publication in the Journal of Pediatric Neuropsychology. Her research has also explored adaptive skills in children with ASD and ADHD, and she is currently conducting a programmatic review of a bike riding program called Outride implemented in a specialized school PE curriculum. She has presented her research at conferences including the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology and the California Private School Professional Development conference.

In her clinical work, Yewell serves as a Psychometrist at BrainWorks Behavioral Health and has worked as a Clinic Coordinator and Psychological Technician at Mucci Neuropsychological Services since 2022. She conducts assessments measuring intelligence, memory, attention, executive function, academic skills, and personality, and works with psychologists and neuropsychologists to provide diagnostic and treatment support. Yewell holds a Psychometrist Certification and has completed training in empirically-based deliberate practice methods through Sentio University.
