Kyle P. Paredes

Biography

Kyle P. Paredes, M.D., M.B.A., is Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Care at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine, where he also serves as Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Director of the MD/MBA Program. He received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco, completed his anesthesia residency and served as Chief Resident at UC Irvine, and earned an MBA from UC Irvine's Paul Merage School of Business. Paredes holds board certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology.

In his administrative roles, Paredes oversees medical student rotations in the Department of Anesthesiology and serves as Operating Room Operations Officer. He also holds the position of Section Chief for Non-Operating Room Anesthesia (NORA) and serves as UCIMC Bed Czar. His work bridges clinical anesthesiology practice with medical education and healthcare operations management.

Paredes has contributed to medical education research, with presentations at national conferences including the American Society of Anesthesiologists Annual Meeting and the International Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology & Therapeutic Risk Management. He is a member of the American Medical Association, where he serves as a Dean Appointed Member of the Academic Physicians Section, and maintains memberships in the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the California Society of Anesthesiologists, where he previously served as District 13 Delegate.
