Polina Bellman
Biography
Polina Bellman (Tregubenko), M.D., is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine, where she serves on the faculty of the UCI Health Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program. She received her M.D. degree from I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University in Moscow, Russia, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Jacobi Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by a Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hematology.
Bellman's clinical and research interests focus on hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy, particularly in the treatment of hematologic malignancies. Her work has examined adverse events in patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma treated with novel therapeutic combinations, as well as outcomes following CAR-T cell therapy and BCMA-directed therapies. She has also contributed to research on cytomegalovirus reactivation after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation and the use of biosimilar filgrastim for stem cell mobilization.
Bellman is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy. She has authored over a dozen peer-reviewed publications and presented her research at national conferences including the American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting and the Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Meetings. During her fellowship training, she regularly presented at journal clubs and educational conferences, covering topics ranging from CAR-T cell therapy to novel targeted therapies in hematologic and solid malignancies.
