Ross M. Moskowitz
Biography
Ross M. Moskowitz, M.D., is Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Urology at the University of California, Irvine, and Staff Urologist at the Long Beach VA Health System. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine in 2008, where he graduated with Distinction in Service, and completed his urology residency at UC Irvine Medical Center in 2013, serving as Chief Resident during his final year. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology.
Dr. Moskowitz holds several administrative positions at UC Irvine, including Faculty Wellness Officer, Co-Chair of the Clinical Competency Committee, and Faculty Quality and Safety Officer. At the Long Beach VA Health System, he serves as Chief of Spinal Cord Institute Urology. His career has focused on clinical urology, medical education, and quality improvement initiatives. He previously served as Associate Residency Program Director and Director of Ambulatory Urology Services at UC Irvine from 2014 to 2016.
Dr. Moskowitz has received multiple teaching and patient care recognitions, including the Excellence in Resident Teaching Award from UC Irvine's Department of Urology in 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, and has been named Physician of Excellence by the Orange County Medical Association multiple times between 2016 and 2026. During medical school, he received the Gold Headed Cane, a peer-selected award for devotion to patient care, and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. In 2024 he received a patient experience award for Top 20 in Communication at UC Irvine Health. His research contributions include publications in urological education, surgical simulation, and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
