Biography
Seyed Amirali Tavangar, M.D., is an Assistant Specialist in the Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine, where he has served since March 2022. He received his M.D. from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran in December 2021, following a rotating internship that included work in COVID-dedicated wards during the pandemic.
Tavangar's clinical and research work focuses on advanced endoscopic techniques, particularly endoscopic ultrasound-guided procedures and therapeutic interventions for gastrointestinal conditions. He has contributed to the development of novel endoscopic methods, including techniques for endoscopic gastroenterostomy, liver biopsy optimization, and pain management.
