Sanjay P. Sinha
Biography
Sanjay P. Sinha, M.D., is Assistant Professor of Pediatric Cardiology and Director of the UCLA Congenital Lymphatic Imaging and Intervention Program (CLIIP) in the Department of Pediatrics at UCLA and UC Irvine/CHOC. He received his M.D. from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency, pediatric cardiology fellowship, and interventional pediatric cardiology fellowship at Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA. Board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology, Sinha serves as Director of the UCI/CHOC Premature PDA Occlusion Research Consortium and as an organizer and speaker for the International Lymphatic Consortium.
Sinha has developed expertise in lymphatic interventions for patients with congenital heart disease and transcatheter valve replacement procedures. He has participated in multiple medical missions to Vietnam, performing catheterization procedures on dozens of children, and serves as a consultant to several institutions including Stanford, Rady Children's Hospital, and UC Davis to develop their lymphatic intervention programs. His work has been supported by the Live Like Noah Foundation Lymphatic Program award.
Sinha has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on transcatheter interventions in congenital heart disease, including work on pulmonary valve replacement, lymphatic imaging and interventions, and device retrieval techniques. He has presented at national and international conferences and serves as a speaker and educator on topics including lymphatic interventions, premature infant PDA closure, and transcatheter valve procedures. Prior to his medical career, Sinha founded The International Alliance for the Prevention of AIDS and served as Executive Director of Hope in the Face of AIDS, demonstrating a sustained commitment to global health initiatives.
